Management

The Department of Management consists of two undergraduate academic programs. The Bachelor of Business Administration degree is offered in management and hospitality management.

Internships are offered in both programs throughout the year.

A distinguished faculty, the majority of whom hold doctoral degrees, perform the teaching, research, and service responsibilities of the Department. The Center for Hospitality Management Education provides additional support activities for hospitality management majors and other students interested in the hospitality industry.

The Department sponsors two student organizations: The Howard University Chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Management (SAM) and the Howard University Hospitality Management Association (HUHMA). Through seminars, guest speakers, field trips, and related activities, these organizations assist in the professional development of students and in the identification of placement opportunities.
